Placement Tests
We offer two tests as placement exams. They are not required.
Advanced Greek Test
The test is a Greek translation exam for persons who have taken Elementary Greek at another institution and wish to advance to second year Greek. Students may also apply for and pay the fee for advanced standing in the course and receive course credit.
Preaching Qualifying Exam
The exam is for persons having substantial preaching experience who wish to test for admission to PM-701, Advanced Biblical Preaching (please note prerequisites in the catalog). The exam consists of the following elements: 1) the submission of two sermon manuscripts; 2) the submission of a 10-15 minute video-tape of a sermon preached within the last year; 3) the completion of a written exam on homiletical theory. Students are required to make their submissions and complete the written exam at least two weeks prior to the beginning of the Fall Semester. Please submit a letter to the Academic Dean, indicating your desire to take the exam. If desired you may also apply for Advanced Standing and pay the fee to obtain credit.
