Tuition Discounts, Waivers, and Grants

The following tuition discounts, waivers, and grants are awarded automatically and do not require a financial aid application.

Award Amount Criteria
Audit Tuition Waiver Free audit for regular courses, up to 2 courses/year
  • Full-time students, their spouses, graduates of MBBS and senior citizens (+62)
Canadian Tuition Exchange Bursary for Fresno registration Exchange rate is established each semester
  • A bursary equal to the exchange difference between the US and Canadian dollar is calculated on the gross regular tuition minus the M.B. bursary and MBBS Scholarship. All charges and payments are in US dollars.
Care Matching Grant $200/semester (9 units); $100/semester (2+ units)
  • Tuition assistance from student’s home church of at least $200(part-time 2+ units)/$400(full-time 9 units).
Denominational Bursary 25% tuition discount

Members for at least one year of Mennonite Brethren, Mennonite, or Brethren in Christ churches pay 75% of the listed fee for regular tuition.
Spouse Bursary 50% tuition discount
  • Spouse of full time student. No other bursaries apply
  • Primary student remains the same throughout
  • Limited to 30 units at MBBS
Valley Pastor or Mental Health Professional Waiver First regular course free (1-3 units)
  • Applicant must be on paid staff of a Valley church, para-church organization or counseling agency
  • If this waiver received student is eligible for one semester of other listed scholarships
  • Applicant must not be in a Master’s degree program at another Seminary/University.
  • Application must be submitted to and approved by the Financial Aid Committee.
